Tourism oriented organizations are invited to learn how to take advantage of free online resources, including Facebook and Twitter, at the upcoming Tourism Marketing Summit, being sponsored by the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce. Attendees will also have an opportunity to distribute their brochures, and connect with fellow tourism partners to create packages that will attract tourists to Seneca County. Join the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, March 29th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Waterloo/Seneca Falls Holiday Inn.A continental breakfast and networking will begin at 8 a.m. with the Chamber’s Executive Director, Fred Gaffney, presenting the 2009 tourism marketing plan and budget for Seneca County, strategic action items and leading a discussion on various legislative issues during the first session, beginning at 8:30 a.m..Subsequent sessions will begin at 10:00 a.m. and include an introduction to online social marketing and an introduction to Google Analytics. In addition, an interactive workshop on packaging among tourism partners will be offered, allowing increased interaction throughout Seneca County. Tourism partners will also have the opportunity to take part in a brochure exchange. The Tourism Marketing Summit is open to all tourism related businesses and organizations in Seneca County. There is a $25 fee to attend. Continental breakfast and light lunch are included. Seating is limited.
