On 03-09-09 SFPD investigated a property damage accident that occurred on the corner of Tyre Ave and Cayuga St in the Village of Seneca Falls. A tractor trailer being operated by Robert Banta age 30 of 3036 Broadway Rockford IL was attempting to make a right turn onto Cayuga St when the trailer struck the NYSEG pole on the south corner of Tyre Ave. As a result from being struck the pole was snapped in half. NYSEG responded to the scene and stabilized the pole, no service was lost due to the damage. Banta was issued a ticket for Overweight Truck on Village Street and is to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 03-26-09 at 10am. SFPD was assisted at the scene by the Seneca Falls Fire Dept.
