On March 8, 2009 at approximately 10:00 am, Seneca Falls Village Police responded to Webb Circle for the report of four dogs at large that were causing a disturbance with a female and her dog. In addition to police response Dog Control Officer Dorothy Commerford was also notified and responded. Upon further investigation it was learned that Robert P. Nageldinger Sr., age 57, of 244 Ovid Street Seneca Falls was the owner of the at large dogs. It was also learned that the dogs were a mix breed between a domestic dog and a wolf. Village Police also contacted the New York State Department of Environmental Police and the Seneca County SPCA. As a result Nageldinger was charged with the following: NYS DEC Police charged Nageldinger with allowing dog(s) to run at large on lands inhabited by deer. Seneca Falls Village Police charged Nageldinger with two counts of allowing a dog to run at large, one count of harboring more than three dogs over six months old, and six counts of failure to provide appropriate shelter for dogs left outside, and six counts of failure to provide sustenance. DCO Dorothy Commerford charged Nageldinger with six counts of failure to license dog(s). He was issued appearance tickets for March 12, 2009 at 10:00 am in Seneca Falls Town Court to answer the charges.
