Why Teen Runaway… For Teens

The next Teen Book Club meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, at the Seneca Falls Library with guest Annie Mahoney.Annie deals first-hand with many of the themes — family friction, etc. — which crop up in young adult literature. She is coordinator of the Seneca County Youth Bureau’s Runaway Homeless Youth Program.She will give a five-minute introduction to the work she does with teens, then we’ll open it up to questions and discussion. Eager to know — what causes teens to run away? What can teens and others do to help young people with serious problems? How many teens in Seneca County are currently homeless?Please bring a friend — this will be an interesting discussion!The meeting will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 6:30pm at the Seneca Falls Library, 47 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls.
