Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, on December 17th 2008 Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Miles A. Smith age 20, of 2752 State Route 96 Ovid, NY 14521. Smith was charged with Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on November 4th 2008 in which Smith allegedly threw an object at a vehicle being operated by Benjamin C. Gentile age 21 of 2144 West Seneca St. Ovid, NY as the vehicle was traveling southbound on State Route 96 in the Town of Ovid. Gentile was not injured during the incident but his vehicle did sustain damage as a result. Smith was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ovid Court on January 5th 2009 at 7:00pm to answer the charges.
