A man came in the the Wayne County Museum on Butternut Street in Lyons Friday at around 2:00 pm.The man was described as male, 5’7” tall, medium build, short hair and olive complexion. He was wearing loose fitting blue shirt and baggy khaki pants and was driving a red car with a black top.He entered the museum under the pretense of needing water for his car radiator. He got the water and then walked around the museum.Before leaving, he took a Civil War sword and dress uniform. He allegedly stuffed items under/inside his baggy loose fitting clothe and managed to get out of the door and away before anyone could stop him.Lyons Police are investigating. The individual left the water container and Officer Vandyne took it to see if any prints could be taken off of it.The museum was closed Saturday for investigative purposes.
