Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Steven C. Mayo, age 30, of 7424 Route 414 Ovid, NY 14541 for Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree. The charges stem from an incident in the Town of Ovid, where it is alledged that Mayo took $1,025.00 of American Currency and items from a Town of Ovid resident. Upon investigation, Sheriff’s Deputies found Mayo to be in possession of cocaine. Mayo was taken into custody and arraigned before the Town of Ovid Court. Mayo was remanded to the Seneca County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail/$10,000 bond. Mayo is to reappear before the Town of Ovid Court on 09/10/08 at 1830 hours.
