Police arrest man after chase in Seneca & Cayuga

Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jamie O. Davidoff, 19, of 287 Fall St Seneca Falls on several charges stemming from a police pursuit. Davidoff is accused of taking a vehicle from a tow company after he had been arrested for driving on a suspended license. Davidoff was seen driving the same vehicle on Rte 414 in the Town of Fayette and when Deputies attempted to stop him he fled from the deputies and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit Davidoff struck a sheriff’s patrol vehicle, twice, causing damage to the passenger door in an attempt to escape. The pursuit traveled through Seneca County and into Cayuga County. Davidoff was stopped shortly after entering Cayuga County and taken into custody. Davidoff was charged with Unlawful fleeing a police in the third degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd , Reckless Driving, speeding, unsafe passing, passing a red light, failure to keep right, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and driving across a divided highway. Davidoff was arraigned in the Town of Junius court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $47,000 cash or $ 97,000 bond on all charges. Davidoff is to reappear in the Town of Tyre court on Aug. 26th at 8:00 pm , Town of Fayette , Sept 10th at 7:00 pm and Town of Seneca Falls and Village on Sept 10th at 9:00 am to answer to the charges.
