Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriff Deputies arrested Brandyn L Backus age 22 of 931 Marsh Rd Seneca Falls NY 13148 for Criminal Contempt in the second degree. The charges stem from an incident where Backus sent a text message to a Town of Seneca Falls resident that had a Class “A” order of protection against Backus. Backus sent the message to the phone of the victim which was in violation of the Town of Seneca Falls Court order for Backus to refrain from any contact with the victim. Backus was arraigned before the Town of Seneca Falls Court and committed to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash 10,000 secured bond. Backus is to re appear before Seneca Falls Town Court on 08-27-2008 at 9:00 am to answer for the charges.
