Car runs stop in Junius, dumps biker & takes-off

Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports Deputies’ investigated a motorcycle accident on St. Rt.318 and Ninefoot Rd. in the Town of Junius. A motorcycle driven by William C. Evans age 54 of 30 E. Williams St. Waterloo, NY was westbound on St. Rt. 318 when another vehicle described as a tan Ford ran a stop sign at Ninefoot Rd and turned out in front of Evans. Evans then laid the motorcycle down and skidded to avoid the collision. The tan Ford never stopped and left the scene according to witnesses. Evans was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight for a minor head injury. The accident is still under investigation.
