Cato neighbor dispute results in arrest

Sheriff David Gould reports the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert C. Putzer (age 49) of 7782 Barbara Lane, Baldwinsville, New York at his seasonal residence located at 326 Fire Lane 13 off Jordan Road in the Town of Cato following an incident involving a neighbor dispute. The original complaint was made through Cayuga County’s 911 Center at 5:41 pm on Friday, July 18th. The Sheriff’s Office spent the evening communicating with Mr. Putzer until his surrender this morning at 10:20 am. Mr. Putzer was arraigned on an arrest warrant issued out of the Town of Conquest Court; bail was set at $2,500 cash, $5,000 bond.Mr. Putzer was arrested for and arraigned on the following misdemeanor charges:Penal Law 120.14(1) – Menacing 2nd – WeaponPenal Law 140.10(a) – Criminal Trespass 3rd – Enclosed PropertyPenal Law 205.30 – Resisting ArrestPenal Law 145.00(1) – Criminal Mischief 4thPenal Law 265.01 – Criminal Possession Weapon 4thThe Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, Cato Fire Department and Jordan Ambulance. The investigation is continuing and the Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone who witnessed this accident please contact Detectives at 253-1610.
