This year’s Pink Fly Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament raised more than $4,800 for the breast cancer education and awareness programs at Thompson Health’s Sands Cancer Center.Held July 12 at the Winged Pheasant Golf Course in Shortsville, the event attracted 82 golfers and 91 participants in all – the largest field yet. The winning foursome, with a score of 63, was comprised of Tara Bearer, Patti Hanavan, Stacy Michalski and Vicky Rizzolo. Marilyn Knowles was the “Closest to the Pin” winner and Stacy Michalski was the “Longest Drive” winner.Committee Chair Nancy Alexander would like to thank all of the volunteers, participants, sponsors and contributors for generously supporting the event.
