Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriff Deputies have placed additional charges on a Town of Seneca Falls man after completing an investigation into a personal injury auto accident on May 24th 2008. Deputies charged Joseph R. Andrews age 23 of 1344 Gravel Road Seneca Falls additionally with Assault 3rd, Speed not reasonable and prudent, passing in a no passing zone and failure to signal for a lane change. The charges stem from a May 24th personal injury auto accident where Andrews struck another vehicle at the intersection of State Route 318 and Burgess Rd. A 45 YO Town of Seneca Falls resident was injured as a result and was flown by Mercy Flight to Upstate Medical Center. Andrews was charged that evening with DWI and arraigned before Town of Junius Justice Laird. Andrews was committed on May 25th in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. For the additional charges Andrews was issued appearance tickets and will have to reappear on June 19th 2008 at 7p.m. Andrews is still remained to the correctional facility on the original bail amount.
