Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriff Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident on South Street in the Village of Ovid. A pick up truck being operated by 16 Yo Raymond J. Anderson of 2190 E Seneca Street Lodi pulled out from the student parking lot at South Seneca High School at a high rate of speed. Anderson lost control of the pick up and left the south side of the road striking a telephone pole and breaking it in half. Ovid Fire and South Seneca Ambulance responded to assist at the scene. Anderson was treated at the scene by South Seneca Ambulance and transported to Geneva General Hospital for his minor injuries. The road was shut down for about an hour while crews from NYSEG secured the damaged pole. Anderson’s vehicle was demolished and had to be towed from the scene. Anderson was issued tickets for unsafe start and speed not reasonable and prudent. Anderson has to appear in Ovid Town Court on July 14th 2008 at 7 p.m.
