Watkins Glen Waterfront Festival Schedule

Only days remain now, for you, your friends, co-workers or club members to mold your cardboard and duct tape into a vessel that is truly worthy of the waters of Seneca Lake! This year, the 2008 Waterfront Festival and Cardboard Boat Regatta will be held on Friday June 13th, and Saturday, June 14th. (note: photo from last year attached)This is your chance to enjoy live entertainment and vendors on Friday night at Seneca Harbor Park, and then on Saturday, catch the “Moving Display of Cardboard Boats” parade. The parade will begin at noon, followed by the traditional boat regatta.The “Moving Display of Cardboard Boats” parade will leave from LaFayette Park and head North on Decatur Street to Seneca Harbor Park. The street line up will begin at 11:00 a.m. Also on Saturday, the Finger Lakes Scenic Railway will be offering rides, as well as a commuter rides from Himrod at 10:30 and 12:30 p.m. For more information on the Finger Lakes Railways, please visit www.fingerlakesscenicrailway.com
