Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports Deputies responded to an industrial accident at the former Seneca Army Depot in the Town of Romulus. An employee of a warehouse company, Frederick M. Young, 31, of 2675 Parish Road in Ovid, sustained a possible fractured leg and fractured arm when he was struck by a metal object that was suspended in the air by a forklift. The forklift suddenly had a mishap and Young was struck. Young was treated at the scene by South Seneca Ambulance and was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center by Mercy Flight Central. The Romulus Fire Department also responded to the scene. The accident is still under investigation.
