The Seneca Singers, a Finger Lakes adult community chorus, will present their 6th annual Spring Concert on Sunday, June 1st at 7:30 PM in the Mynderse Academy Auditorium. The 50+ voice chorus is made up of many Seneca Falls men and women and is directed by Susan Avery and accompanied by Anne Bachman, Marge Farenholtz and Lucille Frasier. The concert will offer songs representing a variety of styles such as popular music of the 40’s, madrigals, a Baroque mass, and Jamaican folk music. In addition, the faculty-staff chorus from Ithaca College will join the concert by performing an early American tune, an Irish blessing, and a Calypso piece. The two choruses will combine for a rousing gospel song before the audience sing along. There is no admission cost – please come and enjoy the music sung by many of your friends, neighbors and relatives in their final concert of the year. New members are welcome at any time and practices will resume in September on Monday evenings in the Trinity Episcopal Church.
