Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports Deputies responded to a two-car personal injury motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 414 and Larsen Road in the Town of Tyre. A vehicle being operated by Alex T. Brotherton, 19, of 2769 Route 318 in Seneca Falls, was southbound on Route 414 when he fell asleep at the wheel. Brotherton’s vehicle left the west shoulder and collided with a vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign on Larsen Road. Brotherton suffered chest pains from the collision and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by Clyde Ambulance. The second vehicle was being operated by Bruce A. Gantz, 41, of 939 Donnelly Road in Waterloo. Gantz suffered a head and abdominal injury and was flown from the scene to Upstate Medical Center by Mercy Flight Central. Passengers in Gantz’ vehicle, Penny M. Sutterby, 41, of 939 Donnelly Road in Waterloo, was flown from the scene to Upstate Medical Center by Mercy Flight Central with possible internal injuries, and Cody J. Foringer, 13, of 939 Donnelly Road in Waterloo, was transported to Geneva General Hospital by Clyde Ambulance with a minor facial injury. The Magee Fire Department, Junius Fire Department, Seneca County Fire Coordinator’s Office, and the New York State Police also assisted at the scene. Both vehicles were demolished and were towed from the scene. Brotherton was ticketed for Moving from Lane Unsafely.
