DWI cause of Seneca Co. accident w/ injuries

Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that Sheriff Deputies arrested Joseph R. Andrews age 23 of 1344 Gravel Road Seneca Falls, NY after Sheriff Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident at the intersection of Burgess Road and State Route 318. A car being driven by Andrews was north bound on Burgess Road when he fail to yield the right of way to a vehicle heading east being operated Theresa E. Parker age 46 of 2572 Martin Road Seneca Falls. Andrews struck the passenger side of the Parker vehicle and both cars left the north side of the road. Parker was pinned in her car for about 25 minutes until firefighters from Junius extracted her. North Seneca Ambulance treated her at the scene she was then flown to Upstate Medical Center in Rochester. Andrews was charged with Failure to Yield right of way at a stop sign, DWI. BAC of .08% or greater, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd. Andrews was arraigned before Town of Junius Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond and will have to reappear on June 19, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. to answer the charges. Waterloo Village Police assisted at the scene.
