The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for it’s annual Small Business of the Year Award. Small businesses are a vital part of our area’s economic success and community dynamic. In addition to significant contributions to employment and tax bases, small businesses and their owners support efforts that make our area a better place to live. Individually, they add vibrancy and character to our communities. Collectively, small businesses are as critical to Seneca County’s growth and success as our largest employers. To distinguish the contributions of this important business segment, the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the Small Business of the Year award once again this summer. The award will be presented at the organization’s Membership BBQ on August 21st at Knapp Vineyard Winery & Restaurant. Last year, Nugent Hardware in Downtown Waterloo was singled out among the worthy businesses.Businesses with less than 15 employees will be considered based on the following criteria:• Must be located in Seneca County.• Must be a Chamber member in good standing.
