Bass Pro Shops Sportsman’s Center in the Fingerlakes Mall will host the Second Annual Multi-Species Owasco Lake Charity Fishing Tournament on Saturday, May 31. The 2008 special designated charity will be organ donation awareness and “Blankets From Home” project. The event will run from sunrise to 3 pm. There will be divisions in the adult category for species such as perch, walleye, northern pike, lake trout and brown/rainbow. The children’s categories include gamefish (species listed) and panfish. There will also be an optional lunker pool for $5. In-store registrations start at customer service counter on May 1.Pre tournament registrations also available at South Shore Marina and Cascade Grill. Costs are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Derby day registrations are available at Emerson Park boat launch (north end) and South Shore Marina (south end) from 6 am – 11 am. Weigh-ins at both locations as well until 3 pm. Awards ceremony will be at the Bass Pro Shops fish tank at approximately 4:30 pm. There will be payouts in cash, prizes and gift cards provided by Toyota Trucks. Special prizes for anyone who attends awards ceremony as well.
