Seneca County Sheriff Jack Stenberg reports that a joint investigation between the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office ended Tuesday 4/8/08 at 6:13 pm with the arrest of an individual on multiple drug charges. Deputies and Investigators from both departments arrested Christopher NMN Vera, 25, of 5854 St. Rt. 96 Apt. 225a Romulus N.Y. for charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree both of which are class B felonies. Deputies state that at or about 6:13 pm on 4/8/08 Vera sold approximately 13 grams of powdered cocaine while at a local business in the Town of Seneca Falls. The possession charge stems from Vera having 13 grams of powdered cocaine with the intent to sell the same. After Deputies effected the arrest on the cocaine charges, a search warrant was executed at Vera’s 5854 St.Rt. 96 Romulus NY address. The search warrant uncovered marijuana, scales and more cocaine. Vera was taken to the Town of Junius Court with Justice Laird presiding. Justice Laird arraigned Vera on the Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd charges. Vera was committed to the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff in lieu of $10,000 cash or $25,000 insured bond on those charges. Deputies said that more charges are pending in the Town of Romulus Court as a result of the search warrant and the investigation is continuing.
