Spend a day of your spring break having fun the 4-H way! Schuyler County youth in grades 3-7 are invited to join us for a day of 4-H Fun on Thursday, April 17, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Schuyler County Youth Site on Meads Hill Rd., Watkins Glen. Choose a workshop for the morning and one for the afternoon. Morning workshops are: Horses, of course! An introduction to horses including care, safety, and riding.Let’s Go Fly A Kite. A 4-H SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) project that really takes flight.GPS and You. A cool tool to find out where you are and what’s around you.Afternoon workshops are:Small animals: Get your hands on some critters! Learn what it takes to care for different small animals. Weather: Read the clouds and forecast the weatherThe day will include lunch, daffodil planting, and other outdoor activities (weather permitting!)In case of inclement weather, alternative workshops may be offered. The cost is $15 ($10 for 4-H members) for the whole day and includes lunch. The family rate (must be in the same household) is $35 ($25 for 4-H families.)Registration is due with payment by April 14.
