Through the Lens: Photo Journalism Images, an exhibit of photographs by Finger Lakes Times Staff Photographer Spencer Tuils and Syracuse Post-Standard Staff Photographer Lauren Long, will be on display in Keuka College’s Lightner Gallery though Feb. 8.The exhibition is free and open to the public.Tulis, will show images he captured from around Yates County, including the Mennonite community. He earned a bachelor’s degree in printmaking from Philadelphia College of Art. The Geneva resident also studied fine arts at Skidmore College. Tulis has earned numerous accolades for his work from such organizations as the New York State Publishers Association, Associated Press, and the New York State Special Olympics.His work has been shown at the Oliver House Museum, Vine Street Gallery, George Eastman House, Albany Institute of History and Art, Cabo Frio International Print Biennial (Brazil), North Dakota Print Competition, Cooperstown Art Exhibition, Guild of Adirondack Artists Annual Member Show, and the Saratoga Art Fair, among others. A former Finger Lakes Times photographer, Long will show images she took of the wildfires that devastated southern California last October. A Geneva resident, Long earned a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology.The gallery is located in the Lightner Library. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-11 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, noon-11 p.m.
