Single Vehicle Accident in Covert – FingerLakes1.com Archive

Seneca County Sheriffs office reports, Deputies responded to a one-car personal injury motor vehicle accident on Route 89 in the Town of Covert. A vehicle being operated by Christopher D. Corning, 17, of 6771 County Road 129 in Ovid, was southbound on Route 89 and lost control due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle left the roadway and overturned in the ditch. Corning suffered a minor pelvic injury and was transported to Cayuga Medical Center by Trumansburg Ambulance. A passenger in the vehicle, Allen D. Milles, 17, of 3779 Deerlick Springs Road in Interlaken, was also transported to Cayuga Medical Center by Trumansburg Ambulance as a precaution, but did not complain of any injury. The Trumansburg and Interlaken Fire Departments also assisted at the scene. The vehicle suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
