The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce will welcome a new restaurant to the area this Saturday, December 1st, with a ribbon cutting at 12:30 p.m. for the Route 89 Grille. The eatery is located at 2557 Route 89 in the Town of Seneca Falls, adjacent to the Cayuga Lake State Park in the former location of the Your Secret Garden restaurant.The Route 89 Grille will open daily at 6 a.m. and feature breakfast and lunch menus with daily dinner specials. The restaurant has also applied for a liquor license to offer beer and Finger Lakes wines to customers.The business is owned by Mike Weed of Seneca Falls. Weed will manage the restaurant on weekends while weekday management will be the responsibility of Richard Hannon, who has experience in the restaurant business. The two men became interested in the possibility of operating a restaurant from years of camping in the area.
