The Seneca County Board of Supervisors is encouraging all county residents to support our local troops this holiday season. At its meeting Tuesday (November 27), the Board heard from Town of Romulus resident Clifford Irwin and Seneca County CSEA spokesman Michael Lambert about the “Here4You” program. The program is requesting donations, both goods and monetary contributions (to help defray shipping costs) to support our brave men and women serving overseas from the Seneca County area, they explained.Irwin and Lambert also asked that, if anyone knows of an area solider serving, they contact CSEA so the program can insure that soldier is on the donation list.Following the presentation, Board Chairman Edward Barto praised the groups for their effort on behalf of the troops and urged residents to donate whatever they could.“It’s important our troops know the folks from back home support and are thinking about them,” Barto said.A complete list of requested items, as well as drop off locations for donations, is available at Seneca County’s website: www.co.seneca.ny.us.CSEA Local 850 is comprised of Seneca County and Romulus Central School District Employees.
