Lodi accident sends Montour Falls man to hospital

Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one car personal injury accident on RT. 414 in the Town of Lodi. The driver of the car Michael W. Atwood age 48 of County Road 14 Montour Falls was Sounthbound on Rt. 414 when his car started to hydroplane on the wet road, causing Atwood to loose controle of the vehicle, The vehicle went off of the road, struck a telephone pole breaking it into two, then came to rest on the East side of the road in the ditch. The driver Michael Atwood had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Lodi Fire Dept., using the jaws hurst tool. The passenger’s in the car were Gary D. Vondrack age 50 of 28 Hall RD. Cayuta,N.Y. Jeffery P. Zawko age 42 of 12105 Steel RD. Big Flats,N.Y., and Curtis S. Bailey age 36 of 349 Fish Hill RD. Bradford,N.Y. were treated at the scene and released. Michael was taken by South Seneca Ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center to be treated for hip, and back injury.
