The Schuyler County Chamber of Commerce announces that they are seeking applicants for the position of Chamber President. After tenure of successful leadership, the current President, Cindy Kimble, has been tapped to lead the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, which serves a 14 county region that includes Schuyler County. Board chair, Marianne Shoemaker states, “While we are certainly sorry to lose such a capable leader, as an organization we are well positioned to leverage the significant tourism opportunities ahead thanks to Cindy’s significant efforts.”Shoemaker notes that in the past year the Chamber has enjoyed record increases in membership, tourism, and visitor fulfillment requests. Additionally there is strong support for a new Visitor’s Center and local tourism promotion activities.
