A Seneca Falls school bus being operated by Sharon I. Roof age 58 of 31 Wright Ave. in Auburn was west bound on Route 89 after stopping at a stop sign on Garden Street Extention. A vehicle being operated by Philip W. Rogers age 68 of 3160 Cemetery Road Seneca Falls was south bound struck the passenger side of the bus just behind the rear wheels as it was crossing the intersection. Red Jacket Fire Department, North Seneca Ambulance and NYS Park Police responded to the scene to assist. Rogers was treated at the scene for a minor hand injury. All 7 of the occupants on the bus were uninjured. The Rogers vehicle was heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene. Roof was ticketed for failure to yield right of way after stopping at a stop sign and will have to appear in Seneca Falls Town court on October 18th.
