Harvest Fest to feature fireworks in Montour Falls

The Falls Harvest Festival will cap off a day full of activities on Saturday, October 6, 2007, with fireworks over Chequaga Falls. The finale will follow a free concert performance by Rochester area HUNU? from 6-9pm.The agriculture- and harvest-focused free downtown festival, to be held Noon-9 p.m. along Main Street in Montour Falls, will have a fireworks finale thanks to community support from: Anchor Inn and Marina, Chalet Leon, Cronk Press, Dave’s Auto, Harvest Café, H.L. Stephens, Kurtz Enterprizes, Lia Sophia, Thomas G. Merrill Professional Land Surveyor, Schuyler County Lodging & Tourism Association, Shepard Niles, and Carl & Suzanne Blowers.Sponsored by Cargill, this family friendly festival will highlight agriculture with a Farmer’s Market, live animal exhibit of friendly goats and alpacas, an antique tractor display, as well as opportunities to “make and take,” see and taste the bounty of the season. Enjoy live music all day and evening, the dramatic and historic Ghost Walk, a straw maze, craft, retail, and food vendors, chainsaw wood carving shows, fire truck rides, and children’s activities galore!
