Woman Pinned Between Boat & Dock in Ovid – FingerLakes1.com Archive

Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies report on 08-28-07 they responded to 7930 County Road 153 in the Town of Ovid for a reported boat accident at the docks. Upon arrival it was found that Andrea Soberman age 58 of 36 Buena Vista Ave. Wallkill, NY was a passenger in 1995 Crowl boat being operated by Glenn Soberman age 55 of the same address at which time he attempted to dock the boat, the front of the boat passed underneath the dock causing Andrea Soberman to be pinned between the dock and the boat. Soberman was transported by Mercy Flight Central to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment of possible rib injuries. Sobermans condition is unknown at this time. Also assisting on the scene were Interlaken and Ovid Fire Departments, South Seneca Ambulance and Mercy Flight Central.
