Seneca County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a two-car personal injury motor vehicle accident on River Road in the Town of Seneca Falls. A vehicle being operated by Jacqueline A. Mesko, 67, of Nassau, New York, was westbound on River Road and was stopped in traffic. A second vehicle being operated by Nicole A. Sherman, 22, of 5854 Route 96 Apt. 228C in Romulus, was westbound behind Mesko’s vehicle and was unable to stop and struck Mesko’s vehicle in the rear end. Mesko suffered a neck injury and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by North Seneca Ambulance. Sherman and a passenger in Mesko’s vehicle, Kelly E. Duncan, 10, of Nassau, New York, were uninjured in the collision. The Seneca Falls Fire Department also assisted at the scene. Sherman was ticketed for Following too Closely and her vehicle was towed from the scene due to extensive damage.
