Ultralife Batteries Inc. (ULBI) on Thursday said it would relocate its McDowell Research communications accessories manufacturing operation from Waco, Texas to Ultralife’s facilities in Newark, New York. The company is slated to complete the move of the operation on Sept 30, 2007. The company noted that the production work will transition to New York between mid-July and mid-September.Further, Ultralife Batteries stated that about 100 employees would be affected and currently no significant charges are anticipated as a result of the relocation.
