The name of the driver the died in the fatal motor vehicle accident on East Lake Road in Fayette, early Tuesday morning was Stephen B. “Bear” Johnson, age 58 of 3925 Willowdale Lane Geneva NY. Johnson was south bound on East Lake Road when his vehicle, owned by Johnson’s construction company, LA Johnson Co. left the roadway, overturned and then caught fire. An autopsy was performed by the Onondaga County Medical Examiners office yesterday and the victim died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident and subsequent fire. Sheriff’s officials state that the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
