Seneca Chamber seeks nominations for award

The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the Small Business of the Year Award, to be presented for the first time this summer. Small businesses form the backbone of local communities and small business owners are a vital part of Seneca County’s economic success as well as the success of many of our service organizations as many of them contribute their time and efforts toward making our community a better place to live. In an effort to recognize and celebrate this important segment of the local business community, the Seneca County Chamber will be presenting the Small Business of the Year award in August. Businesses with less than 15 employees will be considered based on the following criteria: • Must be located in Seneca County.• Must be a Chamber member in good standing.• Must have been in business for at least two years.• Must have made an economic contribution to the community.• Must be civic minded. Nomination forms can be downloaded at www.SenecaChamber.org, or picked up at the Chamber offices along Routes 5 & 20 between Waterloo and Seneca Falls. The submission deadline is July 1. The Chamber’s Economic Development & Legislative Affairs Committee will review the nominations with a recommendation to be voted on by the Board of Directors in July. The award will be presented at the Membership BBQ on August 16th at Knapp Winery.
