Thursday starting at 9:15 AM the students at Elizabeth Cady Stanton School will be recording original songs that they wrote with Grammy nominated song writer, Nancy Bryan of Clyde, NY.Students will experience an actual recording session and put the lyrics they wrote into song. Each grade wrote a song with Nancy, who is a songwriter for Walt Disney and has written songs for “Winnie the Pooh” and “The Little Mermaid.” Nancy’s husband, John is the sound technician, performs background instrumentals and produces the master CD.The school’s last two CD projects have been well recieved in the community. Previous years classes have performed original songs for Sen. Mike Nozzolio, film maker Ken Burns and Sen. Hilary Clinton. Music instructor, Jan LaValley is heading this project up and is anxious to share the children’s success with our community. Please call with any questions or stop by. Grade 5 will begin the process of recording our new school song at 9:15. The third grade will begin recording their song “One Family, One World” at 10:40. And our 4th graders will begin recording their song about the Iroquois at 12:45.
