There was no action taken Tuesday night by the Geneva Town Planning Board on the proposed Walmart expansion project. However, developers did present revised site plans to the Planning Board. Developers detailed the addition of parking spaces behind the proposed Supercenter. Those spaces were added to comply with town code requirements, and Wal-Mart dropped a variance request for smaller than standard parking space sizes. The additional spaces removed 75-HUNDRED square feet of green space from the site. More importantly, the revised plans call for a gated secondary emergency entrance. The emergency roadway would be on the eastern border of the property, along the area formerly operating as the Harvest Hill Gardens. Decisions on the environmental impact of the project are expected at the December Planning Board meeting.
