Students at Finger Lakes Tech & Career Center put a twist on thepopular Bring Your Kids to Work Day by inviting their parents to jointhem at school for Bring Your Parents to School Week. Parents of highschool juniors and seniors from Bloomfield, Canandaigua, Marcus Whitman,Honeoye, Red Jacket, Naples, Midlakes, Victor, Romulus, Waterloo,Dundee, Geneva, Penn Yan and Seneca Falls who are enrolled in a tech andcareer program at FLTCC in Stanley will attend school for the day withtheir students during the week of November 13 through 17, 2006. Parents of FLTCC high school juniors will visit their students in theafternoon from 12:15 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. while parents of high schoolseniors can join their students at school in the morning from 9 a.m. to11:05 a.m. FLTCC offers two-year programs covering careers in: * Transportation* Service Industries* Agriculture* Computers/Communication* Construction/FabricationAlso offered are one-year New Vision Programs allowing high schoolseniors to experience their program alongside professionals in the fieldat a hospital or an engineering firm.
