Public Economic Dev. Workshop In SF Tonight

The Seneca Falls Economic Development Committee is soliciting community feedback for the Economic Development Strategy and Commercial Revitalization Plan currently underway for the Town and Village of Seneca Falls. The Committee will host a public workshop at 7 pm, Thursday, October 26th at the Seneca Falls Recreation Center, 35 Water Street. The economic development strategy and commercial revitalization plan will further develop and refine the economic development concepts put forth in the Joint 2006 Comprehensive Plan. The plans provide a fresh and clear vision for the community with a detailed road map defining economic development goals, implementation roles and responsibilities, and potential program funding opportunities. The Town and Village have jointly hired the economic development consulting firm Camoin Associates to assist the Seneca Falls community in the creation of these two plans and in establishing a leadership position and effective organizational structure to support the community’s economic development objectives. The Seneca Falls Economic Development Committee, consisting of Town Councilpersons, Village Board members, and three community residents has scheduled the public workshop to inform residents about these two plans, to listen to resident comments and opinions, and to answer questions about these plans and their influence on the future of Seneca Falls. All residents, landowners, and businesses are invited and encouraged to attend the public workshop to add your input into the process.
