On November 3, 4, and 5, Geneva High School Drama Club presents “Wendy’s Tale,” in the school’s black box theatre. This comedy by Alan Haehnel will be performed at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday.Wendy is brilliant, but she doesn’t test well. From her toddlerhood to her high school years, we see how Wendy gets bored with tests and lets her imagination win out over knowledge. Inside this fun, slightly absurd window into the mind of a “bad test taker,” test answers turn into characters, vocabulary words duke it out, and no high school guidance counselors are spared. From Einstein to Freud to every bad “inspirational poster” ever hung in a classroom, this fast-paced, quick-witted romp will delight anyone who has ever taken a test.Directed by Kevin Schoonover, the show, with 71 speaking parts, features Charlotte Adams Brooks, Maddy Adams Brooks, Camille Halfman, Marie Halfman, Anthony Luzzi, Jasmine O’Connell, Mary Principio, and Hannah Schoonover. With seating limited to 60 people per performance, tickets are $5 each. They are available in Geneva at Area Records & Music, the HWS College Store, the high school office during school hours, or by calling 315-781-4179, extension 2, during school hours. Geneva High School is located at 101 Carter Road.
