Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that flooding conditions remain throughout Cayuga County. Most severely affected are the northern Cayuga County Towns of Ira and Cato. Route 370 is closed from the Cayuga/Onondaga County line to Route 34 in the Village of Cato to all through traffic. Route 370 from Route 176 to Route 34 in the Village of Cato is closed to all traffic including local traffic.DETOUR ROUTES: Westbound Route 370 from Onondaga CountyTo travel west from 370 take Route 31 from Route 370 in Baldwinsville in Onondaga County to Route 34 in Weedsport. Take Route 34 north to the Village of Cato to reconnect with Route 370 west. Eastbound Route 370 from Wayne CountyTo travel east from Route 370 take Route 34 south from the Village of Cato to Weedsport. Take Route 31 east to reconnect to Route 370 in Onondaga County. The Sheriff’s Office will issue updated information when available.
