MAC-Whale Watch-Darien Concerts You Haven’t Heard About

Here is run down of the area summer concerts you have not heard about yet because they have not been announced by promoters and festivals. Mark your calendars it looks like a great summer of music.Two shows have been booked for later this summer at the newly renovated MAC or Constellation Brands / Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center in Canandaigua. The shows have not yet been announced by the Rochester Broadway Theater League as construction at the MAC is not expected to be finished until next month. According to the music and concert website “Pollstar”, it will be a Blues double-bill on Friday night July 14th featuring Keb’ Mo’ and Bonnie Raitt. Contemporary Jazz Trumpeter Chris Botti will perform on Saturday August 19th. Pollstar also list two of the musical acts for this summer’s Seneca Lake Whale Watch. Rochester’s Campbell Brothers and their sacred steel guitar style rock and gospel will perform on the shores of Seneca Lake on Saturday August 19th. Also at the Whale Watch on August 19th from the swamps of Baton Rouge it’s blues with guitarist Kenny Neal.More Darien Lake concert news coming from www.pollstar.com. Clear Channel and their Live Nation concert arm are the big-hitters in the concert business. Dave Matthews, Goo-Goo Dolls, OzFest and other shows have already been announced for the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center. Now your first to know about these upcoming shows: 5/27-Foreigner and Styx; 7/8 – Mike Gordon-Phil Lesh and Friends-Trey Anastasio; 7/18/-Ashlee Simpson and The Veronicas; 7/25- Drive By Truckers, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, The Black Crows; 8/13 – John Fogerty and Willie Nelson; 8/15 -The Allman Brother Band and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers; 9/20-Def Leppard and Journey.
