The State’s Canal System opens for the season tomorrow, but they’re not celebrating the waterway in Seneca Falls. There will be no Seneca Falls Canal Festival this year. Organizers of the annual Canal Festival- held in June-say they could not recruit enough volunteers and did not want to fight the village government over open container rules. Village officials wanted to reduce the number days and hours that people could drink alcohol during the festival.
