Second Geneva Man Wins NYS Lottery

Just like King Kong takes Manhattan, the $55 million dollar winner of the one-time King Kong New York State Lottery Game purchased their winning ticket in Nassau County, but two of winning tickets for second place prizes were sold closer to home. Two tickets -each worth 1-MILLION dollars- were sold in Seneca and Steuben counties. The winning Seneca county ticket was purchased at Carl’s County Store in Fayette and the winning Steuben County ticket was sold at Triple K beverage in Bath. The owner of Carl’s Country Store on Route 96-A confirmed they sold a winning ticket to 25-year-old Bob Principio of Geneva. Principio found out Tuesday afternoon when he scanned his ticket at the store. Principo works at the Hillside Children’s Center in Varick. Last month Willie Mirengola of Geneva was the winner of a $13 million Lotto drawing, he picked his numbers using a fortune cookie.
