Athletic director Daryl Gross was sitting courtside when Boeheim as thrown out of an exhibition game against Division two Saint Rose.At halftime, Gross spoke with the officials and received an explanation. Boeheim had been ejected in the final minute of the first half after becoming incensed when three of his players were hit and no fouls were called. Referee Pat Driscoll whistled Boeheim for a technical, but Boeheim continued to rant. Mike Kitts, the lead referee, eventually gave Boeheim his second technical and kicked him out. Gross said Kitts told him that if he had it to do over, he wouldn’t have called the second technical. He said he had taken Boeheim’s anger personally. (Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press.
