Tribe Selling Gas Foe $2.41 Per Gallon This Week

The Cayuga Indians are helping out in the wake of the recent hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Regular unleaded gas is now selling for $2.41 per gallon at the tribes’ Lake Side Trading Gas Station and Bingo Hall in Seneca Falls. In a full page ad in today Finger Lakes Times the Cayuga Nation says they “would like to give the good citizens of Seneca County some relief”. The Cayuga says the devastating effects of the hurricanes have driven up gasoline prices.The sale price of 50-cents off per gallon will run through Sunday, October 9th.The discount at the pumps could be seen as a way to win over support from the public. Last week the Seneca County Board of Supervisors passed a local law that they plan to use to force the closing of the electronic bingo hall at the Route 89 gas station.
