A Bath woman was killed in a two car crash in Ontario County Sunday afternoon. Ontario County Sheriff’s Investigators say 78-year old Alice Armitage ran a stop sign at the intersection of Freshour Road and County Road 4 in Hopewell. Her car was hit by a car operated by 73 year old Bruce Rice of Clifton Springs. The Armitage car then struck a utility pole, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Rice and his wife June were taken to F.F. Thompson Hospital for treatment of their injuries.The intersection was closed for two hours while the accident was investigated.
