Residents in Cayuga and Seneca Counties can comment tonight on the proposed Cayuga Indian Landclaim Lawsuit settlement.A fourm will be held at the New York Chiropractic College Gym starting at 6:30pm.The meeting will feature a talk by attorney Lana Marcussen, a lawyer that specializes in American Indian law.In Novemmber, the state signed deals with the Cayuga Nation of New York and the Seneca-Cayuga Nation of Oklahoma. If approved, the tribes would drop their lawsuit in return for the rights to open casinos in the Catskills.The deals require the approval of the State Legislature and Congress.Anyone who wants to speak at tonight’s fourm will be given 5-minutes to state case.
