Power Outage-Two SF Radio Stations Damaged

Some Seneca Falls town residents woke up Sunday in the dark. A transformer explosion-just before 6am- near Goulds Pumps on East Bayard Street caused the power outage. Residents were without power for a couple of hours. When power came back on Sunday morning the power surge damaged the radio transmitters for both the WALL-WLLW 99.3 FM and WSFW-AM1110. Both stations are off the air and will return when new equipment can be installed. No word from New York State Electric and Gas on how many customers were without power. The loss of power was from Stevenson Street to Cayuga Lake.
